Calculation starts with the overall letter grades given to you by your professor in each class. If you're curious how it's calculated or if you need to calculate it on your own, here is how to do it. You will almost always find your GPA already calculated and printed on your report card. Your semester's GPA is calculated as the sum all the points earned, divided by the total number of course credits taken. This calculator uses the (4.0) four point GPA scale outlined in the tables below in order to convert your letter grades to numerical points. You can type in the course name for each row to make it easier to better track your progress, but it's not required.
